TxETA's Regional Round-Up is a one-day conference offering theatre workshops, networking, and resources for Texas theatre educators. It's a chance to develop new skills, connect with colleagues, and find valuable production and classroom resources.
If you need to purchase or renew your membership seprately from the Regional Roun-Up registration page above. We recommend taking advantage of a combined registration option (if your ISD allows): Enroll for an event AND renew your membership at the same time! This is a quicker process, and you'll receive only one invoice/receipt for both.
REGIONAL ROUND-UP 2025:
This is the third year for Regional Round-up, TxETA previously hosted at Midland High School in West Texas and Harlingen Consolidated ISD. Round-Up is one day full of theatre professional development which focuses on visiting locations of the state which may make travel to Theatrefest challenging. We are thrilled to partner with our host Comal Canyon HS this year for the 2025 Regional Round-Up.
Please make plans to join our Keynote Speaker and Workshop Presenter, Rick Garcia! We are also thrilled Special Guest and UIL State Theatre Director, Paula Rodriguez will be joining us! More information to come soon, but in the meantime:
Mark your calendars for January 18th.
- Check-in/registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
- Keynote Speaker, Rick Garcia, at 9:00 a.m.
- Sessions begin at 9:30 a.m., and the day ends at 3:00 p.m.
- Registration opens November 15.
Cost:
- $50 for the registration fee (Meal Included)
- $75 for those without a current membership
- Presenters will continue to be announced on our social media platforms and in the November newsletter.
- While it’s encouraged to register prior to January 18th, you can register on-site.

We’re excited to announce that this year’s Regional Roundup will feature a dedicated track for all things middle school! Whether you’re looking to fine-tune lesson planning, discover show ideas, or demystify One Act Play, we’ve got you covered. We’ll even tackle the challenges of managing those “sigma rizzlers” — the students who keep you on your toes! Our workshops are designed to reinvigorate and equip you with practical strategies that you can use when you return to your home campus.
The learning doesn’t stop there. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow middle school educators from across the state, building a network of support so you’ll never feel alone on Middle School Mountain. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just starting your teaching journey, TxETA’s Regional Roundup has something for you!
