Job Description: Grace Community School is looking for an outstanding, experienced, secondary theater arts teacher who can join a well-established program that has a legacy of excellence. As a member of the GCS staff, this educator should be eager to integrate biblical truth into the content and methods of teaching and to collaborate with a team and be willing to embrace the core values of the school.
This position:
Reports to campus principals and the Director of Fine Arts.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in theater education; Master’s preferred.
Prefers 3+ years experience teaching theater.
Is a part-time or full-time position.
Technical theater proficiency and experience required.
Works with a team to develop a strong Fine Arts curriculum and program.
Requires an excellent communicator with students, families and co-workers.
Manages the annual budget.
Maintains and stewards facility and equipment well.

Demonstration of a biblical philosophy of education.
Mastery over subject matter and the ability to invite and nurture students in the learning process.

Creating and sustaining a well-managed classroom.
Developing and executing both long range and daily lesson plans consistent with the Grace curriculum.
Appropriately using a variety of instructional and evaluative skills and techniques.
Following prescribed accommodations for students enrolled in the school’s Academic Success program.
Interacting professionally and biblically with colleagues and parents.
