Job Description: Lake Travis ISD is looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable and energetic Technical
Director to join our three-person team of professionals in the Technical Theatre
program. Major areas of responsibility include: teach technical theatre classes, act as Technical Director for all productions, design & supervise student construction of scenery, manage scene shop, supervise events in theaters. Opportunities for growth within our program, and in our expanding district.
Our venues include a 1450-seat proscenium theater, 200-seat black box theater, and 275-seat proscenium theater. All of our facilities employ cutting edge theatre technologies including a 2500 sq ft. scene shop with ample storage and exhaustive tools inventory including two installed compound-mitre saws, SawStop table saw, panel saw, band saw, bench sander. Our main theater features a 50’ full-stage 4k LED video display driven by Disguise media servers, DiGiCo Quantum7 mixing console, 500-fixture lighting plot (mostly ETC Series2 LED fixtures, and 40 moving lights) controlled with ETC Gio & Hog 4-18 consoles, generous professional rigging system with counterweight and motorized hoists, and much more. Job Description: TxETA POSTING OF LEGACY HS THEATRE POSITION Legacy High School Southwest ISD is seeking an energetic, dynamic, and hard-working individual to teach Technical Theatre for the 2025-2026 school year at Southwest Legacy High School. This position requires high-energy applicants that are student centered and build positive student connections. Applicants should demonstrate strengths in all aspects of technical theatre: teaching tech classes and safety, building sets, sound and lighting design, event operations, assisting with all productions, UIL One Act Play, and managing a program with vertical alignment with the feeder middle school programs. The successful applicant will teach Technical Theatre in grades 9-12 at Legacy, serve as faculty sponsor for the Legacy Thespian Troupe, and help build a strong Theatre program.
